About Us
The Minnow Net
In the Land of 10,000 Lakes, we know that information—much like our water—can be overwhelming. mnknow.net (the Minnesota Knowledge Network) was created to help our community navigate the current.
The Power of the Sieve
Information shouldn’t be a flood that sweeps us away. We act as an informational sieve, sifting through the noise to catch the vital truths and essential resources that our neighbors need. By filtering out the rumors and focusing on the facts, we provide a clear view of the landscape regarding ICE and immigrant advocacy in Minnesota.

Small Fish. Big Impact.
The “minnow” in our name isn’t just a pun; it’s our philosophy. In a vast system, an individual can feel small and vulnerable. But as any Minnesotan knows, minnows are most effective when they school together.
We believe that:
- Knowledge is the Net: When we share verified information, we create a safety net that protects the most vulnerable.
- The School is the Strength: We are a network of citizen volunteers and concerned neighbors. Individually we are small, but together we create a collective force that can navigate, resist, and overcome much larger challenges.
- Local Roots Matter: We focus on Minnesota because this is our pond. We know the waters, the people, and the local resources that make a difference.
Our Evolution
We are currently a growing library of resources, legal aid links, and educational tools. As our “school” grows, so will this site—expanding into news, articles, and community events.
mnknow.net is where we gather to get informed and get moving. Because when we school together, we don’t just survive the current—we change it.
